✨ Today is the first day of AANAPISI Week (September 23–29), celebrating Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander–Serving Institutions across the country. Since the establishment of the designation in 2007, AANAPISIs—the newest among all Minority Serving Institutions—have been a formidable force in supporting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander student success, preparing the new generations of trailblazers and changemakers, and promoting equity in higher education. 🌟 UC Santa Cruz is proud to be an AANAPISI. We celebrate and honor the diversity—ethnicities, languages, cultures, histories, and migration stories—of our dynamic AANHPI community.
