Psychologist and Nobel Laureate, Daniel Kahneman, divided human thinking into two systems. System 1 is fast. It’s instinctive. Like 2 + 2. System 2 is slower. It needs more thought. Like 197 x 3734. Climate change needs system 2 thinking. We need to consider multiple angles and trade-offs before acting. But right now, we’re using system 1 thinking for it.
