When I was in high school I never thought I was good enough to paint in color. I always struggled with finding the right hue because I was always so focused on finding the right brightness. In my head shadow came before hue and saturation. Years later I now know they all work together. All we paint is light reflecting off a surface, not the “real” color the image is. I’m really happy I started doing these. It feels like I’m progressing (finally)… .
