Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy told world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “aiming to disconnect the plants from the power grid” and warned “any missile or drone strike, any critical incident in the energy system could lead to a nuclear disaster.” Zelenskiy also dismissed efforts by China and Brazil to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, questioning why the pair were proposing an alternative to his own peace formula and warning: “You will not boost your power at Ukraine’s expense.”
