Elizabeth “Biz” Bauer has been announced as head coach of the Augsburg Women’s Ice Hockey program. The press release came out on Monday, September 23rd. She will become the third head coach in program history as it enters its 30th season.
Bauer, a native of Wausau, WI, was a four-year member of the Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s team from 2016-2020, being team captain her senior season. She played in 114 career games accumulating 37 goals & 69 assists for 106 points. She ranks second all-time in team history in points and holds the all-time record in assists. Bauer also helped lead the Blugolds to their first three national tournament berths, two O’Brien Cup Tournament Championships and one
#WIAC championship.
For her performance on the ice, Bauer was named
#AHCA/CCM Hockey Division III Second Team All-American in 2019-2020 while also being an All-American Scholar. She also earned All-WIAC First-Team honors three times while receiving honorable mention honors once.
