Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Nick Pieart has announced Amy Budde as head coach of the Women’s Ice Hockey program. The press release came out on Friday, September 20th. She will become the fifth head coach in program history.
Budde, a native of Lindstrom, MN, was a four-year member of the Forester’s from 2015-2019, serving as team captain her junior and senior seasons. She played in 112 career games accumulating 61 goals & 70 assists for 131 points. She ranks second all-time in team history in assists and third in goals. She earned All-Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (
#NCHA) honors three times being named to the All-Freshmen team her first season. She was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player twice and was selected a Second Team West All-American by the
#AHCA after her senior season.
