Help us celebrate this nearly completed project at the explore_pec (PEC), part of the philaparkandrec. PEC offers low-cost outdoor programs to Philadelphians and others. With support from Feather Friendly, birdsafephilly (BSP) featured multiple designs adjacent to each other as an educational tool on the corner of the building’s library. The glass was treated with Feather Friendly Large-scale Pro solution, featuring 6 of the 10 stock design patterns available. The remainder of the building was outfitted with FF Medium-scale Pro DIY solution. The library was chosen as the perfect product demo site because of its surrounding habitat and high bird activity. Multiple on-site feeders were drawing birds in, risking collision. As part of this project, BSP agreed to develop signage to explain the product, the designs available, and what is needed for successful bird collision prevention.
