Come together with our community on September 30th in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The title of the gathering, Stetís ímexstowx (Stah tee-ss ee-mehx-sst-owwhx), is a meaningful phrase that translates to “walk beside us” in the beautiful Halq’eméylem language. We invite the public and media to join us in a momentous event as we acknowledge our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation on the Traditional, Ancestral, Unceded, and Shared territories of the Stó:lō people, Mathxwí First Nation, Semá:th First Nation, and Leq’á:mel First Nation.
At this gathering, you’ll learn about truth and reconciliation from our civic organizations through:
📖 Story Presentations: Engage in captivating narratives that shed light on Indigenous history and culture.
🎨 Craft Activities: Create meaningful, hands-on crafts that promote understanding and respect.
🎤 Live Presentations: Gain insights from speakers and thought leaders who champion Truth and Reconciliation.
