Rylee Orr has been announced as head coach of the Lawrence University Men’s Ice Hockey team, announced by Director of Athletics Jason Imperati on Monday, September 23rd. Orr becomes the tenth head coach in Vikings program history. Orr, a native of Maple Creek, SK, CAN, is a graduate of Utah State (#ACHA M2) and played from 2010-2016, being an assistant captain his senior season and missing the 2012-2013 season. He played in 109 career games accumulating 42 goals & 128 assists for 170 points. He led the Aggies in points two seasons as they qualified for the #ACHA Men’s Division II National Tournament three times. Orr helped #USU win the Mountain West Collegiate Hockey League (MWCHL) championship as a senior and was the team’s Most Valuable Player. Prior to his time at Utah State, Orr played in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (#KIJHL) for the Golden Rockets and Kamloops Storm over two seasons.
