The first time I met alexmorgan13 was back in 2012 after she won an Olympic gold medal. I was a troubled foster child randomly placed in Diamond Bar, on the verge of failing out of high school. She introduced me to soccer, gave me a community, changed the entire trajectory of my life, and gave me hope for a future that I never thought was possible. Alex, I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for you letting me hold your gold medal during that one lunch assembly to retire your jersey. Thank you for changing my world and saving my future.
