What an incredible hunt. This is one of the biggest bulls I’ve ever seen, let alone harvest. We saw this giant the first day with a massive herd of 250 head and I thought it was going to be impossible to pull him off, let alone get in close enough for a shot. But instead of trying to stalk in with 500 eyeballs; we decided to use some midwest whitetail tactics. We spoke with the farmer and he agreed to help us move a couple big round bales so we could make a blind. Then we went to Walmart and bought some camo netting and Jerry rigged a blind for the evening hunt. I had my doubts, but it was our best chase for an opportunity on this magnum. So we built the blind and got in around 12:30pm and waited all day. Of course, the elk had their own plans and didn’t do the same thing as the day before.
