When our harvest began this year, one thing was certain: due to such a cool growing season, we were running late (3-4 weeks behind our "normal" schedule). Now, our harvest crew is working tirelessly to bring this season to a close. We've let our more weather-resistant grapes, like Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot get the long hang time they need to ripen as much as they can. Here, you'll notice a portion of our vineyard sits alongside the Mayacamas Mountains. The combination of our one-of-a-kind topography, hillside exposure, and maritime influence here ultimately allows for long hang time and intense flavor development. Before we dive too deep into terroir and start to nerd out on soil types and climate, we'll just say that our unique terroir, plus a unique growing season, is a recipe for some of the finest Cab and Cab wines in the state. 📸
