To mark the beginning of Black History Month, we're shining the spotlight on some of our members. Meet Dr Dornu Lebari, a GP in Cumbria and a sexual health and HIV consultant.
Dornu shares her stance about the human history and what we can achieve when we all work together.
"Black history is part of human history. It is important that we, black people, are the ones to tell our stories in order to have our voices heard. Our lived experiences of human existence needs to be celebrated and highlighted; not to diminish those of others, but rather to share and acknowledge our shared humanity. Our progress as humans, despite the deep-rooted propaganda about skin colour of years bygone, is beyond inspirational. It is the reality of what true human collaboration can achieve."
Thanks so much for sharing your insight with us Dornu!
