October is SIDS Awareness Month, so the Alabama Department of Public Health is promoting safe sleep environments for children in cribs by joining the National Institute of Health’s
#ClearTheCrib social media challenge in an attempt to significantly decrease sleep-related infant mortality rates.
During the 10-second challenge, participants must remove all unsafe items from the cluttered crib to ensure that the baby doll that represents the child will be able to sleep in a safe environment.
