Meet Naomie Z! Naomie is one of our Power students from the community of Sakoinsé in Burkina Faso. She is 14 years old and starting Grade 10 in her second year being sponsored through the ‘Education is Power’ program. Naomie lives with her mom and 10 other family members in Sakoinsé. At school, her favorite subjects are French and Mathematics. One day, she says that she hopes to become a doctor to support her family and help children in need. In her recent letter to her sponsor, Naomie writes: “Thanks to your sponsorship, I have joy. And joy makes my life better. My family can now live in peace because of ‘Education is Power’." Every student sponsor receives a handwritten letter from the student(s) they support each year.
