Almost all the photographers who shoot this sport shoot at around F4-5.6 and with traditional 24-70mm and 70-200mm F2.8 zooms. It makes total sense, since those are incredibly versatile lenses that can cover so many types of photography, especially action sports. But during a 7 day FIVB tournament in Ft Lauderdale, I had been shooting with the aforementioned lenses and I became bored, so I decided to made the switch.
