“I grew up watching my grandpartent’s run one of the premier spearmint, dill and catnip distillation facilities in the world. This distillation process requires considerable energy during the harvest. Enough energy, in fact, to necessitate a power engineer - a people my grandmother has served for the last half-century. It is my goal to follow in her footsteps and take over her role on the farm to allow her to spend her retirement doing the things she enjoys. Receiving the Schulich Leader Scholarship for a top school in Canada will allow me to focus directly on my pursuits in engineering while also providing the freedom to participate in an exciting university life.” Gabe is a first-year Engineering student from Bow Island, Alberta and one of six recipients of the prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarship - awarded to some of the top high school students in Canada. Gabe plans to open his own engineering firm to lead fellow engineers to success and help shape an impactful future. Congrats...
