We had an incredible day with OutdoorsAllianceForKids and EWStokesPCS fourth graders at Anacostia Park! The students explored local waterways with NationalParkService and DOEE_DC rangers and learned about the animals that call these places home. We were joined by some very important park lovers who made the day extra special, including RepKatiePorter (D-CA), Sara Gonzalez-Rothi from the Council on Environmental Quality, Homer Wilkes from the Under Secretary of Agriculture for Natural Resources and Environment, Lisa Aangeenbrug from NationalParkFoundation, and our very own Buddy Bison! 🦬 This event was all about celebrating the #EveryKidOutdoors (EKO) program, which offers fourth graders a free pass to explore federal lands and waters.
