🌿 Philippians 4:6 says “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
As someone who deals with anxiety from time to time, my first thoughts usually go through every possible outcome of the problem at hand — not to prayer. I’m human, and although I know what the right move is, I don’t always act on it.
Worry-first and prayer-second is just not how we’re made to operate.
This verse reminds us that our first response, to any given scenario, should always be prayer — for thankfulness & whatever we need from God.
