“For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall,” -Isaiah 25:4 Truly people are in the desolation of a storm right now. Be it stress, insecurity, dissatisfaction, suffering, and actual storms such as Hurricane Helene. This hurricane has deeply impacted parts of the US, cutting off entire towns and cities, wiping others off the map, and leaving millions without food, water, power, or any other resource. It is currently the worst hurricane since Katrina. While all of this death and destruction continues to unfold and people are dealing with the aftermath, we need a reminder of hope. While these storms are massive, God is greater; though the need is great, God is greater; though the pain and suffering is intense, God is greater.
