Why Latina Equal Pay day is important to me? As a College educated Latina who has worked in Corporate for over 20 year and is also an Entrepreneur. I don’t think I should have to constantly work twice as hard as my male counterpart to make less. I should be able to do the exact same job and place the exact same effort in and get paid what I deserve. It’s important because I don’t have anything to prove and I shouldn’t have to constantly prove that I deserve a specific pay but I do have children and a household that depend on me, I am the primary provider in my house. It’s important because I am raising an equally hard working and super educated younger Latina who will have me as an example of professionalism and financial success. Latinas should get paid equally and more, because we deserve it and our value and worth is valid.
