📊 New Data Tuesday 📈
Michigan continues to lead the pack among states we are tracking, with an impressive 81% registration rate among 18-year-olds. Wow!
In Pennsylvania, we’ve seen progress with a 3 percentage point increase in 18-year-old registrations this week. However, the state still hasn’t crossed the 50% mark, leaving over 85,000 young people unregistered, with only three weeks left until the October 21 election.
On a brighter note, Allegheny County, a key focus of The Civics Center, saw a 4.5% increase this week, bringing its 18-year-old registration rate to 51.4%! 🎉
This surge may be linked to the Youth Vote Huddle held on September 19, where high school students from across the county learned how to run voter registration drives at their schools. As those drives take off, we expect continued growth in Allegheny County!
