Long before I fulfilled my dreams of becoming a professional rally driver (which was inspired originally by the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 racing in the WRC and on Pikes Peak), this was one of my favorite cars for my mountain town lifestyle: Audi S4 Avant. I liked the styling, but I mainly got it for the AWD drivetrain and great motor - all of which made for some good hoon-ability and stability in the snow. I shot these photos shortly after getting the car, when my wife, dogs and I made our first trip out to the Bonneville Salt Flats (2 hour drive from our home) for the first time. Now, I am back in Audi’s, but experiencing that quickness and AWD in a whole new way: the e-tron way.
