WRC spec Hyundai -vs- a deer?? Yep. This is what happens when hitting a deer flat out in 6th gear. Deer/car accidents happen every day (over 2 million a year in the US) and unfortunately, this one took us out of the lead of the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood on Saturday. Our race car took some decent front-end damage, the gearbox got stuck in 4th, but the main reason we lost so much time on the stage (about 60 sec lost) was because I couldn’t see the road because of all the oil that spread across our windshield. 3 miles from the end of the race!!
