The team on the far court, Nebraska’s Cam Luhring and Matthew Barlow, didn’t win The Kitchen Open but they made it to the finals and would have surprised no one had they took home the title. Their connection stems from The University of Nebraska-Omaha where Cam is a former tennis player and Matthew is the current head coach. Luhring earned the nickname “Thor” during the tournament and while he’s the thunder of the duo then Barlow, who people were calling “The Erne King”, is definitely the lightning. Barlow has been cutting his teeth on the pro pickleball tour for some time now and almost beat Christian Alshon while Luhring is an APP Next Gen stud and is certainly a name to watch. 📈
