*FEARLESS GIRL 💪🏾* I took my 2 year old to an iguana sanctuary in Belize and she LOVED IT! Our time at the Belize Iguana Project was one of our favorite experiences of the trip; located within the San Ignacio Resort Hotel, the educational centre gives visitors a chance to learn about the nation’s conservation efforts as well as get up close and personal with the endangered Green Iguana. 🦎 Our visit to the sanctuary was also a great reminder of why I am a huge advocate of traveling with small children. Kira was able to positively interact with the reptiles: she got to feed them, chat with them, and learn how to properly hold and pet them. Traveling and having experiences she otherwise wouldn’t have access to in her day-to-day surroundings is invaluable— while she might not remember this particular visit, encounters like these have left her with skills she’ll carry through to adulthood! 🦎 Travel is such an excellent teacher, wouldn’t you agree?
