TBG is 13 today. Which makes today my blog mitzvah! 🎉🥂 On September 16th 2009, I was working as a pastry chef at a Latin-American restaurant here in SF. I was deep in a sourdough phase (wheat at the time) and I needed something to do with all that discard starter. I started baking sourdough cracker recipes that I found on the internet, but I wasn't impressed with any of them. So I made up my own recipe, and liked it so much that I wanted to share it with the world. Jay said, "You should start a blog!" So I went on blogspot and had a site in about 5 minutes. I called it "Bojon" (no job, backwards) after the concept that a former colleague of Jay's had created as an ode to funemployment. I didn't think I would keep up the blog for more than a few months, let alone that it would become my career. At the time, people looked at you funny if you said you were a professional blogger. (Oh wait, they still do!) But I feel incredibly lucky to get to spend my days sharing recipes and chattin...
