This one hurts. Alex and I started the final day of racing with a 21 second deficit (due to a failed intercom on day 1) and after 9 of today’s 10 stages, we fought back up to a 2.9 second lead before the final stage. Starting that stage as the second car released, our request for extra time between Brandon’s start and ours was denied, and calm forest conditions then turned to unsettled dust from the lead car and a massive lack of visibility. We lost the rally by a mere 0.9 seconds! Worst second place finish I have ever had. #NEFR2022
