“Hey everyone! I’m Sofia Beroes, and I’m a proud sister of AOII! Coming into FIU, I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. I was born and raised in Miami but all of my friends went away for college. I knew I wanted a sense of community but was scared to put myself out there. That all changed after First Night when I met my amazing big, annjolieee . She encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, especially as a freshman, and I’m so glad I followed her advice. Going through recruitment, I immediately felt at home. Growing alongside my PC and seeing everyone’s achievements has been so fulfilling, and I’m grateful to be surrounded by such inspiring and selfless women. I’m so appreciative of the endless sleepovers, hilarious moments, lunch dates and everything in between.
