Havasupai, November 2015
Lately I’ve been going through old hard drives, re-editing a lot of old photos using better software and a decade more of editing knowledge. I’m mostly editing images of Montana for a big project I’m working on, but a few memories stop me in my tracks. This being one of them.
I had just come off two weeks promoting Southeast Montana rodeos down at NFR at Vegas and was desperately in need of disconnecting from reality. So myself, quintontolman and two other friends descended into Havasupai Canyon for four days. As luck would have it, a forecasted snowstorm caused every single other person to cancel, and we were the only four souls in the mile long campground. The snowstorm never hit, but the memory of having this special place to ourselves lives on. It wasn’t long after this that I came back to Billings and put my notice in to leave my job.
