Dr. Mary Lou Galantino PT, PhD, FAPTA was the 29th Annual Scully Visiting Scholar Lecturer at the Southwest APTA PA District meeting on October 8, 2024. Her talk was entitled "Labor, Love and Luck of Legacy." She is a Distinguished Professor of Physical Therapy at Stockton University in New Jersey. We had a full house for her fascinating presentation. Drs. Nuket Curran and James Irrgang introduced Dr. Galantino and she provided a stimulating talk about the evidence that she has generated related to the use of alternative and traditional therapies for persons living with HIV and cancer. As a Pitt graduate, she would have made Dr. Scully very proud. Dr. Galantino also met with the faculty for lunch and individually with faculty members, which was part of Dr. Scully's wish in endowing this lectureship. #PittPT #PittProud
