Are you Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH)? Or do you have normal hearing but are a heavy sleeper?
As a hard of hearing mama of three I need to hear my babies in the middle of the night. I used to think that my husband would just wake me up if they cried but the truth is he's often out of town for work or he leaves to go before the sun comes up. Plus, he could easily sleep through it!
So what did I do? I've yet to find one device that takes care of everything - so here's my best solution from when I was in the newborn trenches!
1. Baby monitor. Baby monitor: I use Infant Optics, which allows for multiple cameras.
2. Baby Cry Signaler and Receiver Combo. Instructions say to put the signaler in the baby's room but I've found it's too far from the receiver that's in my room to be consistent. Place the signaler next to the baby monitor to pick up crying. The receiver plugs into my alarm clock. Adjust sensitivity as needed.
