A Russian man pardoned after killing his wife in 2021 returned from the Russia-Ukraine war and stabbed his new girlfriend to death. Azamat Iskaliev, a 35-year-old resident of Saratov, visited his girlfriend,27, at work trying to reconcile after a quarrel. When the man attempted to kiss her and was rejected, he pulled out the knife and attacked the woman, screaming in terror. He stabbed her for two minutes in the backroom of the telephone store. The victim died on the spot from her injuries. According to Baza, in 2021, Iskaliyev killed his 28-year-old wife in the same way when she asked for divorce.
