FIT TO BE PIED: Teachers chosen by students were pied at today’s Pink Week pep rally. As part of the annual weeklong effort to fight breast cancer and raise money for the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas, PALS students went around and asked different teachers if they could pie them at the pep rally. Kelly Wroblewski and her son Elias Wroblewski were among the pied. Wroblewski explained that she wasn’t sure about the idea, but once she thought about it she finally gave in. “Two of my students are PALS and they asked if they could pie me in the face,” she said. “They were like please, please, please, so I was finally like, ‘OK, fine.’” she explained Wroblewski said she also went home and told her son about the idea. He was immediately excited and wanted to join in the fun. “I went home and told him,” she said. “He immediately said he wanted to get pied in the face as well.” The two happily accepted their pies to the face, and said it was nerve-racking but equally exciting.
