President @dallinhoaks shared a powerful message at yesterday’s #BYUDevo. His talk, titled “Racism and Other Issues,” addressed the immediate need to identify and eliminate personal and systemic racism. President Oaks echoed President @russellmnelson ‘s call to “abandon attitudes and actions of prejudice toward any group of God’s children," and affirmed that “Of course, Black lives matter," and that “That is an eternal truth all reasonable people should support." He also said "Ours is the duty to unite and improve the future we will share.” President Oaks also reiterated an invitation from General Conference to become more Christlike. He explained: “That is not merely to speak of Christ or think of Him or try to copy His actions. We become Christlike when we have achieved what the Apostle Paul called 'the mind of Christ' (1 Cor. 2:16).
