Please join us in recognizing our December Employee of the Month: Detention Officer Angela Thornwell Officer Thornwell has been employed with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office since August 2004. She is currently assigned to the Recruiting Division. Officer Thornwell is always calm under pressure. She has proven to be the backbone of the Recruiting team and an excellent example for others to follow. She provides a safe space for her applicants and coworkers, where they feel comfortable confiding in her while sharing their ideas and opinions. Officer Thornwell is known for her dependability, willingness to work hard, and can be relied upon to meet any deadline while getting the job done efficiently.
