We continue to highlight the impact of the #GoGreater campaign with a story from ufnursing. Recognizing an increased need for research to address the challenges of today’s nurses, Linda Aiken, (BSN ’64, MN ’66) PhD, FAAN, FRCN, RN, is advancing her professorship within the college through the Linda Harman Aiken Chair and the Linda Harman Aiken Professorship. These efforts support excellence in nursing research. Aiken’s goal is to help UF nurse researchers continue to lead in developing innovative care practices impacting public policy for the greater good. With nursing research now seen as a source of innovation, Aiken also hopes that whomever holds the College of Nursing chair is a key player in spearheading university-wide excellence. She believes the chair will expand nursing outcomes and policy research, strengthening the position of the University of Florida as a healthcare leader.
