This week’s BHM spotlight goes to the late Bill Russell. Hailed as the greatest winner in sports, Basketball Hall of Fame center Bill Russell led the Boston Celtics to 11 championships in 13 seasons. He also became the first African American coach of a modern major professional sports team in the United States when he was named the player-coach of the Celtics in 1966.
