Berkeley Unified School District, or BUSD, entered a $13.5 million settlement with nine plaintiffs Oct. 1 following reports documenting two decades of sexual abuse and harassment from a former Berkeley High School teacher. This settlement comes after three complaints alleging 14 damages, including negligence and sexual battery. Grievances were shared with Berkeley High School administrators.
