Amanda Compton was hunting blacktails with a friend on Alaska's Admiralty Island Sunday when she was mauled by a brown bear and bitten on the head.
According to Compton, the bear was on her in seconds. She had just enough time to drop down and curl into a ball. Thankfully, the bear quickly released her, and Compton walked away from the attack with a small piece of bear tooth embedded in her skull.
