BETTER LATE THAN NEVER After a 45 minute delay due to LASA transportation, the JV Knights beat the LASA Raptors in straight sets, 25-20 and 25-11. Sophomore Lyla Manners said despite the slow start, the team regrouped quickly and never looked back. “During the timeout, we talked over our game plan to get back into it,” Manners said. "We really needed to focus and get out of the hole we were in and used their weak spots to get our points back.” After struggling in the first set, the Knights jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the second set and had no trouble closing the game out. “Once we started to get our serves over the net, we got more comfortable,” Manners said. “Getting our serves and big kills over the net really boosted our confidence.” The Knights play next at Crockett on Tuesday, Oct 15, at 6:30pm.
