Marta Figueras-Dotti is one of the pioneers of Spanish women’s golf, whose career has significantly impacted the sport both on and off the course. Born on November 12, 1957, in Madrid, Spain, she showed exceptional talent as a junior golfer, winning the Spanish National Championship at just 14 years old. This early success set the stage for a groundbreaking career. Marta attended the United States International University (USIU) in San Diego, where she continued to excel in golf. She became the first non-American woman to win the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship in 1982, a prestigious victory that signaled her potential on the international stage.
