A crow caused a power outage in Southeast Portland Sunday morning, leaving thousands of Portland General Electric customers without power, according to the company. The crow “made contact” with equipment in the Buckman neighborhood, knocking out power to about 8,000 customers around 8:45 a.m., according to Drew Hanson, a PGE spokesperson. Utility crews re-routed power for nearly 7,000 customers, returning service within about an hour, he said.
