During this time of physical isolation, NCADA has conducted 10 OEND (Opioid Education and Naloxone Distribution) trainings online, instructing 251 individuals in the St. Louis area on how to use naloxone, the life-saving overdose reversal medication used to save lives. That means that 502 lives can now be saved, just from the doses we distributed. In the past two months we have transitioned all OEND trainings online, ensuring that we have the medication needed to save lives in the event of an overdose, and offering trainings on how COVID-19 impacts overdose risk factors.
