After a year in which you were also inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame, being honored by our alma mater, #GarnetAndGold, is truly incredible! In the early days of our 40-year friendship, you were my competition during the regular season at colonie_little_league and Colonie Babe Ruth, but my teammate during All-Stars. You were my quarterback, and we shared the linebacker positions during our time with the Colonie Giants in Pop Warner on our way to the Super Bowl when no one thought we’d win 2-3 games. We were high school teammates on the baseball diamond, but it was in those packed high school basketball gyms (1993-94’ season was special) where your athletic talent and leadership as an amazing teammate were truly showcased.
