A year ago today, the world lost an icon. I happened to be in LA when it happened. What happened next was one of the most memorable things I have ever witnessed. I saw one of the worlds largest cities come together. It was not uncommon to see memorials on billboards and breathtaking art all around the city. Buildings turned purple and gold at night. Public busses read Thank You Kobe. The numbers 24 & 8 were everywhere. A few friends and I went to Staples Center to take it all in and remember the Icon.
