Earlier in October, TanenbaumCHAT had the pleasure of welcoming jonnydaniels to our school. Jonny is a renowned public speaker, author, and entrepreneur, perhaps best known for his work with Holocaust survivors as the founder of FromtheDepthsFoundation. He recently spoke to our Grade 10 students about Jewish pride, combating antisemitism, and advocating for Israel. During his visit, Jonny brought a Torah that was hidden during the Holocaust by a Rabbi in a small Polish village. Now in Toronto, the Torah is being carefully restored by survivors of the Shoah. We were honoured to host survivor Aaron Nussbaum in our Hennick Family Atrium, where he contributed to the restoration with a dip of a pen.
