This #BreastCancer Awareness Month, we'd like to introduce you to one of our own. Not only is Carrie Peterson a breast cancer #survivor, she is also a Dignity Health Cancer Institute at St. Joseph’s Nurse Practitioner who recently became this year’s dhmg.az “Top APP Award” honoree. Carrie was recognized for her clinical expertise, managing many complex cases in the institute’s medical oncology clinic. Her dedication to professional development through continuing education, as well as strong collaboration, teamwork, and leadership abilities were also noted. Carrie is a mentor to new APPs who has helped in the overall growth and development of the APP program at Dignity Health in Arizona. She embodies the qualities of our mission and inspires those around her to strive for excellence.
