The city of Berkeley has declared extreme fire weather conditions, issuing advisory evacuations for residents in Berkeley fire zones 2 and 3 before “extreme fire weather conditions” start at 8 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. tomorrow morning. The advisory message, sent out today at 3:21 p.m., follows a Bay Area-wide Red Flag Warning from the National Weather Service earlier this week due to high winds ranging up to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour, and low humidity across the region.
