The second quarter began with a touchdown by Connally and a successful two-point conversion. Senior wide receiver Jaiden Booe scored Mac’s first touchdown of the second quarter before a flag thrown, overturning the play and returning Mac to Connally’s 19 yard-line. Senior quarterback Luke Dunham passed to senior wide receiver Camden Willis to get first and goal with five minutes left in the half. Dunham passed to senior running back Mitchell Butler, leading to a three-yard rushing touchdown for Mac. Booe caught for a two-point conversion putting Mac back in the lead. Following Mac’s play, Connally scored a touchdown to overtake Mac’s short-lived lead. On Mac’s next possession, Dunham’s attempted throw to Sanchez ended in an interception before the call being overturned as a flag was thrown on the play. Possession returned to Mac.
